DIGITAL ANGEL

The 1995 original animation film is one of my favourite films. The live action film definitely didn’t get a chance to explore some of the philosophical themes as much as the original but it’s visually a really stunning film. I often get asked if I hate the live action one but honestly I feel like it’s a great gateway to the original and the whole franchise. RESCORE of the iconic roof scene, I loved putting my take on it. Music entirely from scratch with lots of resembling techniques and automation, lots of group low-end clipping and distortion (similar to how I make my own music) and full sound design of all the movement and guns and everything. Lots of layers

RESCORE. Loved working on this and they will definitely be more to come

Concept video game menu video for single ‘Heaven Cant Wait’ by Digital Angel. Music + sound design + artwork graphics + animation by me

This was a really fun project to make as promotional material for my own music. The UI button sounds were something I was experimenting on for quite a while in past projects, and the menu design and sounds were inspired by PS3 games like the Final Fantasy game series, Mirrors Edge, and Prototype. Growing up I always loved getting absorbed and sucked into fantasy worlds in video games, and I wanted to achieve something similar for listeners in a world-building sense

‘A Product Of Hope’ by Corporate World and GUTTR. Co-sound design and mixed & mastered by me

The music was made entirely by GUTTR and he also did a lot of the sound design which I helped with. One of the strange sounds that plays halfway was actually from an audio processing rack I made in Ableton that I gave to GUTTR. It was originally meant for creating Neuro DNB bass lines with lots of complex random filtering and compression but he accidentally placed it on random source material that wasn’t intended for it, but it ended up being a big part of the piece. There is so much more to this project as it’s also the start of a release and music video GUTTR did through Corporate World. Both of them are great at world building

Cello performance + cello arrangement by me

Very grateful to have been involved in this incredible and ambitious project. Working on Jem’s EP created a small chain reaction at the time where a few people reached out to me for cello work which was something I didn’t expect. Before working on this I previously attended Izaak’s first performance of this project in Bristol, and I was completely moved by it. The session string performance Izaak asked me to make for him was actually an arrangement cover of a sample that he originally used as the primary melody and theme for his performance. Definitely recommend reading up about this project if you’re interested as I won’t be able to do it justice here. The performance art and street culture and local scene being merged into one is definitely worth exploring from this project

Thanks to Minirig and Salomon being involved as well

‘Explain Later (Outro)’ by Jen VB, composition + production + mix & master + sound design + cello performance + recorded by me

The title single to Jem’s EP ‘Explain Later’, this was one of my favourite tracks to work on from the project. The last track in the project was actually one of the first we worked on that birthed the concept of the EP. The whole EP was produced entirely by myself, some of the tracks were instrumentals that sat on my hard drive a couple years before until Jem breathed new life into them. This particular song was made from scratch with Jem just past the halfway point in making the EP, when he fully locked into the core concept and identity of the project. He realised he wanted to use trains as a symbol of aimlessly travelling through ‘limbo’ which to him represented the sense of being stuck in between stages in life

[ARCHIVE] debut launch video for blankcanvas studios, formerly based in Bristol. Music + sound design by me

remastered by me pre-performance

grapeviines was a lead single from Alamay & Omar’s debut EP project ‘Aurora’, it was the first EP project I ever mixed and mastered fully, but I actually never worked on the single grapeviines originally. One of my favourite songs from them, I was so glad that I eventually had the opportunity to re master this song for performance which I believe they have been using for their live sets since
